Public Library Transformed Into A Cool Modern Home In Portland – The task of renovating the existing house is quite difficult on many occasions. If you want to change an old public library into a beautiful home for a small family it seems all the more challenging. Designed with a sense of warmth and openness by Jessica Helgerson Design Interiors, this beautiful residence in Sellwood, Portland is all about form and function come together with a touch of traditional charm. The structure was originally renovated public library which is then used as a meeting room.
With high ceilings, open interior and a lot of space, renovation presented unique puzzles as well as some design opportunities. The open floor plan with a living room set, kitchen and dining roared come together easily. Large bookshelves were added whenever possible to remind the people in the house heritage.
